Product Manager (f/m/d)

Vienna
Full-time
Permanent employee

What we build

Most companies find out about supplier insolvencies, cyber attacks, factory fires or floods that affect their supply chain when it's already a crisis. Prewave exists to change that. We're an AI-native company giving BMW Group, Hilti and Lufthansa real-time visibility into supply chain risks before they become headlines.

We're looking for a Product Manager  who takes ownership of complex, resilient B2B workflows and customer activation from day one. Someone who uses AI as a default part of how they work - and knows when to trust their own judgment.

Onboarding is where a customer's own supply chain meets everything we already know. It is the most important moment in the customer journey. You would own that moment: the outcome it produces, the capabilities we give customers to get there, and the journeys we design around it.

Customers need to be empowered to get up and running on their own. Customers bring in their own data, correct and enrich it, and understand the capabilities each gap unlocks. They need the tools and capabilities to do this, plus guided workflows to ensure the journey is smooth.

What you'll own

Take end-to-end ownership of the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth path for new customers from signup to full product adoption.

  • Supply chain data is complex and interconnected: suppliers, the sites they operate, the commodities and products moving between them, arriving in every shape and standard imaginable. You would build the tools that let customers bring that data in, keep it accurate, and see for themselves what good looks like, empowering them to manage it independently.

  • The journeys around onboarding. You architect the path a customer travels from a signed contract to a fully configured account that generates value: the value proposition at each step, and the service levels we commit to. Where the right answer can be a better journey rather than a new feature, that would be your call.

  • The outcomes, including the cost to serve. Time to value for new customers, how much of their setup they complete unaided, and what each onboarding costs us to deliver.

  • Alignment across Product, Engineering, Data Management, Customer Success and Sales. You will lead without authority, and you will need all of them.

  • Shape Up and execute: You will use the Shape Up framework to deliver in cycles: six weeks building, two weeks cool-down and planning. You shape and scope your own work each cycle.

What we are looking for

You are the right fit if you:

  • 3+ years in product management, with experience in owning a data-heavy or operations-heavy product. Internal tooling, data platform, integrations and/or data migrations.

  • Experience turning a manual service into a product or automating the service. Where you have identified a task or service that had a high effort cost and were able to mitigate the manual intervention required to deliver the outcome or output.

  • Experience owning a service as a product. A journey, a turnaround commitment, or a cost-to-serve number, alongside the software that supports it.

  • Comfort with data model decisions. Entity resolution, de-duplication, taxonomy and reference data, precision trade-offs. You do not need to write the code; you do need to hold an opinion an engineer respects.

  • Fluency with the economics. You can build the case for a change in time to value or cost to serve and defend it in front of leadership.

  • Stakeholder credibility without authority, particularly with operations teams whose work your product changes.

  • AI fluency as a working habit. Openness and enthusiasm toward using AI tools (e.g. Cursor, Gemini, OpenAI-based tools) to support analytical workflows. Prewavers are naturally curious about frontier technologies.

  • Based in or willing to work from Vienna, with in-office presence expected two days per week on average.

Nice to have:

  • Supply chain, procurement, trade compliance or logistics data experience.

  • Enterprise B2B SaaS with large, complex customers.

  • Experience in Product Management frameworks and tools, e.g. Jobs to be Done, Opportunity Solution Trees, User Journey Mapping, etc.

  • Service design or process design experience alongside product development.

What's our working style

We're a resilient AI-native team building an AI-native resilience product - and we hire for both. For us, AI-native has always meant humans and AI working together, not one replacing the other. We use tools like Claude & Gemini as a normal part of the job, to think faster, work smarter and spend less time on the repetitive stuff. We treat AI fluency as a skill like any other - something you build, experiment with and keep developing.

What goes with that is real ownership. You'll have the space and the trust to figure things out your way - with a strong team around you and plenty of support when you need it. Things move fast here and the brief won't always be complete, but that's what makes the work interesting.

The people who do best at Prewave are curious by default, go after things rather than wait to be handed them, and don't lose their footing when the plan changes.

We score six values in every interview - creating positive impact, optimising for customer value, being an ambitious innovator, operating with urgency, doing things that make sense and collaborating with kindness - so you always know what we're looking for and can prepare accordingly.

The Package

Minimum EUR 46,000 gross annually based on the collective agreement, the actual compensation being tailored to your qualifications, experience, and the role. Flexible hours and hybrid working.

Your birthday off. MyClubs partnership. Mental health support. Regular health check-ups and initiatives. Company-wide training. Fun team events. Device of choice. Work from anywhere - up to 8 weeks a year.
